North Shuswap Cabins
Explore North Shuswap cabins and you'll see the area has several basic amenities including post offices. Anglemont has a Marina with a general store where residents can buy groceries and liquor. You can also gas up the boat at the marina as well Scotch Creek has the most services on the north shore including a pharmacy. For big ticket items such as appliances, you can head to Salmon Arm.
The North Shuswap is home to Celista Estate Winery, which is one of the most northern wineries in Canada. Owners Marg and Jake Ootes grow all the grapes on site and sell the wine (Ortega, Marcechal Foch, Gewurztraminer, Celista Cuvee, Riseling and Marg's Rose). They also operate a small art gallery on their 160-acre farm.
If you want to live in the area year-round and have children, there is the North Shuswap Elementary School in Celista. Schools for older children are on the southern side of the lake.
North Shuswap Property

The region is also a perfect place to fish for salmon (Chinook, Koho, Pinks and Sockeye). You can also catch lake trout, Dolly Varden and steelhead.
Golfers can get out on the links at Anglemont Estates Golf Course, which is a 9-hole track playing to 1,803 yards. There is a driving range and practice green on site and you can enjoy a cold drink after your round.
There are a couple of provincial parks in the area in Shuswap Lake Provincial Park and Roderick Haig Provincial Park, which is the site of the huge Adams River salmon run every year.
