Born and raised in Vernon, Doug came to the South Shuswap as a Forest Resource Technician in 1989 following ten years working in Sawmill lumber sales and shipping in northern BC and spent the following 16 years as the Sales Co-ordinator and Quality Control departments of International Forest Products (INTERFOR) at the Adams Lake Sawmill. Doug became licensed in 2006 as a Real Estate Sales Associate, gained the designation as a REALTOR® and went on to be licensed as a Broker in 2008. Took over and ran his own successful Brokerage for five years before joining Royal LePage Access Real Estate Salmon Arm brokerage in 2013. It's no surprise Doug is successful, his work ethic, honesty, trustworthiness, integrity, knowledge and expertise is what people look for in a Real Estate Professional. People's respect and loyalty can only be earned and Doug is fortunate to have worked with some of the best people who are not only repeat clients but also proud to refer his services to others. Doug supports the local community as a leading contributor to the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation helping to provide funding for the Local Women's Shelter and the Prevention of Domestic Violence. Doug is a strong advocate for the South Shuswap First Responders, and volunteers as a member of the board of directors, has been past president and former training instructor, and continues to be an active First Responder since 2001. As if that weren't enough Doug also volunteers as a Director with the Okanagan Mainline Real Estate Board (OMREB), where he sits as a member of the Finance Committee and Shuswap Zone liaison.
